Has it really been 13 days?

Wow… I have been a mommy for 13 days. 13 long, exhausting, amazingly wonderful days. In some instances it feels like forever. He feels like he has been a part of our lives from the very beginning. Other times I can’t believe it has already been 13 days! How was I going through labor 13 days ago? Has it really been 13 days since I felt him kick inside of me? It’s all so crazy. The lack of sleep may also play a contributing factor to that 😉

Grant is doing so well. We have finally figured out breastfeeding, for the most part, and he eats ALL THE TIME. I am talking 3-4 hour nursing sessions in one sitting. It’s a lot and my nipples are definitely not appreciative about it. We are supplementing a little (2 ounces a day) to give me a little break and because he lost a full pound in his first three days of life and the pediatrician recommended it. In the grand scheme of things though, 2 ounces is nothing and I dont feel bad about it at all.

I would love to write more but he is waking up again to eat so I will quickly post some pictures from his newborn shoot!
